It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of St. Michael the Archangel Regional School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a school with such a rich tradition of spiritual strength and academic excellence. During these past few weeks, I have had interactions with parents, teachers, students and parish members. From these conversations, it is clear there is a collaborative environment between all stakeholders to provide the best possible academic and religious experience for our students. I look forward to fostering these relationships and working with teachers and staff to provide a world-class educational experience for each child.
I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than fourteen years. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader of our school and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success. Along with teachers and staff, I will work hard to continue the success established by previous administration by building strong relationships with parents, students, parish members and community partners. We will focus on character and religious education competence, the standards set by the Diocese of Camden, use of data to inform instruction, consistent implementation of direct instruction strategies to increase students’ achievement and providing exciting and challenging enrichment opportunities for all students.
All of us at St. Michael the Archangel Regional School are eager and excited to begin what promises to be a very positive and productive year together! As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors—teachers, students and parents—are excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun and nurturing environment.
I feel truly blessed to be the instructional leader of such an awesome parish and school community.
Mr. Philip J. Gianfortune
