Dear St. Michael Families,
As an educator and a father, I’ve struggled with the decision of how to approach school in the fall. Nothing is more important than providing children with a great education, but we’re going to do it in a safe, responsible manner that protects the health and safety of our St. Michael’s community. I know every child lives in a village of loving parents, grandparents, aunties, and uncles, and keeping our students safe also means helping to keep their village safe. That’s an awesome responsibility that I don’t take lightly. It will take all of us working together to make this school year a success. School will happen this year and everyone at St. Michaels will be working as one to ensure students are learning.
Our partnership with our families is more important than ever. Please wear your masks, practice social distancing, and most importantly, listen to our public health officials. If we all do this, we will have created an environment that will allow children to come to school safely. Finally, read our School Plan and offer feedback. We don’t have all of the answers and you can help us strengthen our plan to reopen our school safely. We value your partnership and look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely in Christ,
Mr. Philip J. Gianfortune
