Dear St. Michael School Families,
I hope this message finds you well and you are settling into the routines and adjustments of a new school year. Our entire staff is working diligently to provide a safe and secure environment where all are invited and welcome to be an integral part of a faith-filled and dynamic learning environment that stimulates productivity, excitement, and confidence in learning.
As parents you constantly look for ways to help your child put their best foot forward, giving them the best opportunity for success. This is quite admirable. Being a parent is one of the most difficult careers one could undertake. Parents have to make difficult choices. Parents have to say “No” when it is not fashionable or favorable to do so. Parents have to work all day and still be parents at the end of that long day.
One of those choices you also made was enrolling your son or daughter in Catholic School. When doing so you understood that the purpose of Catholic school is to lead students to Jesus Christ and to facilitate, nurture and support in developing an intimate, lifelong relationship with Jesus. Catholic schools serve a vital role in the Churches mission of providing young people with a strong formation in the Faith; having Catholic children and young people grow in faithfulness.
St. Michael School will also be committed to providing a rigorous and comprehensive academic program. We strive to challenge our students to develop and put into practice the skills they need to be successful lifelong learners. As Catholic educators we are determined to look at the whole child and lead your students find their own strengths and weaknesses. This will enable them to use their strengths advantageously as well as build a foundation to improve weaknesses.
As one of the spiritual and instructional leaders, I will do my best to give my staff the tools needed to establish and maintain a student-centered environment that is most conducive for teaching and learning. The Catholic educational community that we create will be one that enables your child to become closer to Jesus and receive a well-rounded and comprehensive education.
As I continue to hold high standards for myself, I expect students to conduct themselves as respectful individuals. Students must exhibit respect for all staff, peers, and more importantly themselves. Parental support and involvement is necessary to maintain a culture that promotes learning.
I look forward to seeing you all at many oy the various school events that we sponsor. I will pray for your families and wish them the best during this academic year.
Many blessings,
Mr. Ronald Ferraro, Principal
